Dr. Steven M. Irby graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1978 with a Bachelor in Engineering Science. He received his medical degree from Emory University in 1982. Following his graduation, he completed an internship at Georgia Baptist Medical Center and then attended Navy Flight Surgeon School at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute. Dr. Irby then served as a flight surgeon with the first Marine Amphibious Brigade in Kaneohe, HI. He completed his radiology residency at Naval Hospital in Oakland, California, where he served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Irby joined the team at Peninsula Radiological Associates in 2000, where he practices General Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, MR, Mammography, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, Nuclear Medicine, and Non-Vascular Interventional. Dr. Irby is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds a license in Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia. Dr. Irby currently serves as the President of Peninsula Radiological Associates. Dr. Irby lives in Hampton and is still pretty active for an old dude. He enjoys sailing and windsurfing with his wife.
