Dr. Belton earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry in 2004. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Imaging at Rochester General Hospital, followed by an MRI fellowship at the University of Rochester. In 2016, he obtained his Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida.
Dr. Belton joins Peninsula Radiological Associates in 2025 after serving as Chief and Medical Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, Ontario, where he helped lead departmental modernization, quality improvement, and physician engagement initiatives. His clinical expertise includes MRI and breast imaging, with a focus on providing precise, compassionate, and patient-centered diagnostic care.
He is the co-founder of Physicians and Laypersons Educational Associates of Greater Rochester, NY (PLEA of GRNY), a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing breast cancer awareness and health education. Dr. Belton is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America, with professional interests in artificial intelligence integration, workflow optimization, and mentorship of future imaging professionals.
He now resides in Williamsburg, Virginia, with his lovely wife and daughter. Outside of medicine, Dr. Belton enjoys basketball and supporting youth sports—continuing a lifelong passion for the game that began during his collegiate years as a Division I athlete.
